Notes: Vintage Charter Arms Pathfinder in mint condition with paperwork and original sales receipt from 1978. The Charter cylinder is slightly easier/quicker to remove, but the crane is cruder. The Taurus is much heavier than the Pathfinder. 22 pathfinder can turn a few tin cans into an afternoon of fun. The standard model weighs 19 oz and sports a 2 barrel and full-sized grip. ![]() ![]() It has the look, feel and weight of a higher-caliber revolver, allowing you to gain proficiency while using relatively inexpensive. The Charter Arms Pathfinder is a six-shot double action revolver available in 22 LR or 22 WMR. These two guns are so close in these areas, that choosing between them would have to drill down to other aspects. Charter’s Pathfinder is a great introductory revolver for the novice shooter. My Taurus shoots with about equal accuracy.īoth guns have sights that are the same color as the rest of the gun, which makes for poor sighting - but was easily resolved with both by a little judicious application of BRIGHT SIGHTS paint.īoth guns have rubber bumpers that suck, IMHO - YMMV. The two targets, posted above, were shot 25yds, one with the LR cylinder, the other with WRM. Charter Arms Explorer II Silvertone w/optional barrels Charter Arms Police. The replacement Pathfinder doesn't exhibit the pause, but the trigger pull is heavier and a tad grittier. Six-round (.22 LR) or 5-round (.38 Special) cylinder. The pull on my original Pathfinder, now replaced, was also "nice" - but had a hitch, or step/pause, near letoff. ![]()
